Transparent LED displays are increasingly popular for retail storefronts and glass curtain walls. Their see-through design allows natural light to pass through while displaying vibrant content. Here is how to install them properly.
Step 1: Site Assessment
Measure the glass area and verify structural load capacity. Transparent LED panels are lightweight but still require proper mounting brackets. Check for obstructions like window frames and mullions.
Step 2: Mounting System
Most transparent LED panels use a rail-based mounting system that attaches to the building structure behind the glass. Ensure all mounting points are level and secure before installing panels.
Step 3: Cabling and Power
Run power and data cables through cable management channels. Transparent displays typically require 110-240V AC power, and data is transmitted via Ethernet or fiber optic cables.
Step 4: Calibration
After installation, calibrate brightness, color temperature, and viewing angles. Transparent displays should be set to approximately 70% brightness for optimal daytime visibility without glare.
